The vocational degree course in Computer Applications has been started in Jamuni Lal College, a premier college of Bihar with the permission of B.R.A. Bihar University from session 2014-2015 in keeping with the objectives of the new national education policy that aims to making the younger generation self-reliant, technically competent to face the challenges of modern world. Dr. K. K. Singh was the first Co-ordinator of BCA in this college. It is the self-financial Course in Bihar University. In the twenty first century computer is bound to enter every household and computer science and its applications are going to influence every sphere of one’s daily life. Globalization of economy has thrown open tremendous employment opportunities for qualified computer professionals. To meet the growing demand of qualified computer personnel the teaching of three year Honours degree course in Computer Application has been started in Jamuni Lal College. This course has been designed for students who have just passed 10 + 2 and are looking forward to a challenging career in the corporate world. The course aims at providing exposure to both IT management and Software Development. Students are also exposed to advance software Development, e-commerce and web site development.
